The Wild - an exhibition by Mark Williams

23 May, 2011

Come and seeThe Wild exhibition - a dynamic collection of exciting Wildlife Portraitures

THE WILD - an exhibition by MARK WILLIAMS

About the work

Slightly more than your standard nature shot, The Wild collection focuses on Wildlife Portraiture and, by doing so, highlights that beautiful "connection" between "us" and the natural world. Some images in the collection go a step further, turning nature into art; capturing the essence of the  world through unique and eye catching mandalas, patterns and design.

About the artist

Mark Williams has been deeply interested in the natural world and photography for over 10 years, with his work appearing in numerous magazines, Royal Shows and exhibition events . His intention is to express, through art, man’s strong and pivotal connection with the Earth, and its creatures.

SALA Exhibition

22 June, 2010

Mark Williams Photography is proud to be part of the excitement of the 2010 South Australia Living Arts Festival. We have two venues where our images will be displayed. This year's images have been taken from our latest nature collection – Make it Wild. The concept behind Make It Wild came from recent trips to Africa and England, and focuses on the personal, humanistic aspects of nature. Make It Wild also features for the first time, our tapestry art range. This creativity of nature's dynamic colour and wondrous shapes adds a new dimension to our classic wildlife range.

For a preview please download our latest catalogue. We would like to acknowledge Westpac Pirie Street branch and the City of Unley for their sponsorship and support, as well as Jones The Grocer and SALA.

For further information about SALA and our role in this event – including our full Nature Collection exhibition catalogue, please consult the "exhibitions" section of our site. General brochure please click here.

Make It Wild

Make it Wild – MWPhoto's most recent project is a coffee-table book featuring some of our best nature and creative nature imagery. With a completion date of Dec 2010, this book has been designed to give the reader a truly personal insight into the diversity of the natural world. Animals from across the globe are featured, ranging from the steaming green jungles of the Southern Nigeria Delta to the wind-swept moorlands of South-West England, and everything in between.

SALA Exhibition

The SALA Festival is a state-wide festival of Visual Art with free admission to all venues! The SALA Festival was established in 1998 as an initiative of the Australian Commercial Galleries Association to promote and celebrate the many talented Visual artists in South Australia. In 2009 SALA had 2,773 participating artists across 500 venues with an audience of over 330,000 people. SALA is a platform for artists to fuse with new and unique pathways to expose arts to the community locally, nationally and internationally.

MWPhotos, under artist Mark Williams, is proud to be part of this event. We will be featuring our 2010 Nature Collection, which highlights some of our most dynamic wildlife images, and is a prelude to the images that will appear in the book Make it Wild.

Make It Wild also features for the first time, our tapestry art range. This creativity of nature's dynamic colour and wondrous shapes adds a new dimension to our classic wildlife range.
